The 2019 Ford E-Series is part of the fourth-generation lineup of the brand’s iconic full-size van series, primarily used for commercial purpose. Its most notable change from the previous year was the introduction of a new 6.2-liter V8 engine as an option in E-350 and E-450 cutaway models, in addition to the standard 6.8L V-10 producing 305 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Available in multiple configurations in terms of wheelbase and body length, it provides versatility for customization based on the buyer’s specific needs. A six-speed automatic transmission is mated to the engine, propelling power to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, more advanced safety features common in newer models such as lane-keeping assist and forward-collision warning aren’t available for this model. Although Ford stopped selling the E-Series as a passenger van after 2014, cutaway versions - essentially a cab with a bare frame behind it - continue to be offered, which businesses use as the basis for shuttle buses, ambulances, and other commercial vehicles.
