2019 Mazda CX-5 Overview

The 2019 Mazda CX-5 is part of the compact SUV's second generation introduced in 2017. Available in five trims: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature, it offers a choice of two engines. The standard 2.5L SKYACTIV-G engine offers 187 horsepower, while the turbocharged version in higher-level trims boosts output to 250 horsepower with premium fuel. All trims come with a six-speed automatic transmission, with FWD standard in the lower trims and AWD standard in higher trims (and optional in the lower ones). The CX-5 stands out in its class for great handling, a high-quality interior, and advanced technology. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a low-speed automatic emergency braking system. 2019 saw the introduction of the Signature model and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on Touring trims and above.
