The 2019 Volkswagen e-Golf is an all-electric vehicle part of the brand's 7th-generation Golf lineup. Functioning on a championship pedigree, this FWD vehicle operates on a single-speed direct-drive transmission and is powered by an AC electric motor that outputs 134-hp, achieving 0-60 mph in just over 9 seconds. The range is estimated at 125 miles per charge, putting it in the competitive range of other EVs in its class. Two trims are offered: the SE and SEL Premium. The entry-level SE incorporates a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink capabilities. It also provides an energy-efficient climate control system, rearview camera, and forward-collision warning. The SEL Premium trim adds DC fast-charging, parking sensors, and a digital instrument cluster. Both trims feature post-collision braking and rain-sensing windshield wipers for added safety.
