2019 Volkswagen Golf Overview

The 2019 Volkswagen Golf, part of the vehicle's seventh generation, is a compact hatchback that offers an excellent balance of comfort, style, and responsive handling. The Golf is powered by a 147-hp turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard across the board. There are two trims available for the year, the S and SE, both featuring a 6.5" or 8" touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a USB port. Standard safety features include a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. The 2019 model year introduced a new transmission and engine.
