The 2020 BMW M8 is an offering from its high-performance M division, available in three body styles: two-door coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe. It is powered by a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine with two power outputs for M8 and M8 Competition variants, 600 hp and 617 hp respectively. The M8 transfers power through an eight-speed automatic transmission to its all-wheel-drive system, which can be switched to RWD for a more exhilarating drive. Inside, BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional comes standard, integrating a 12.3” digital instrument cluster with a 10.25” central display, featuring iDrive 7 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. Safety features include standard forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and an optional driving assistance package which adds features like active lane keeping assist and traffic jam assist. The M8 was newly introduced for the 2020 model year, expanding the already extensive BMW 8 Series lineup.
