The 2020 Buick Encore, part of the nameplate's first generation, is a compact-luxury SUV equipped with a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, offering 138 to 153 horsepower depending on the trim level. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard across all models, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options available. The Encore is available in four different trims: the base Encore, Preferred, Sport Touring, and Essence. The car also comes with a host of safety features, including 10 airbags, a rear view camera, and available side blind zone alert. The base model includes a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other key features include Wi-Fi hotspot capability and available navigation. The 2020 model year saw no major changes as it was the last of its generation before the fully redesigned 2021 model.
