The 2022 Hyundai Kona N is the performance variant of Hyundai's popular subcompact SUV, marking the first time that Hyundai's N division ventures into the SUV market. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 276 horsepower, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The drivetrain is front-wheel drive, which is a rarity in the performance SUV segment. There is one trim level, but it comes with a host of performance upgrades, including a sport-tuned suspension, large brakes, and a limited-slip differential. On the safety front, it includes features like forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, and driver attention warning. The interior houses a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital gauge cluster, and sport seats. The 2022 model year represents the first generation of the Kona N.
