The 2022 MINI Hardtop, part of the third generation launched in 2014, offers a distinct blend of British charm and driving enjoyment. Available in 2-door and 4-door configurations, it offers three trims: the Cooper, Cooper S, and John Cooper Works. The base Cooper employs a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine making 134 horsepower, while both the Cooper S and John Cooper Works use turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinders, rated at 189 horsepower and 228 horsepower, respectively. All engines pair with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with a 6-speed manual option. The Hardtop eschews traditional infotainment for a circular 8.8-inch display in the center of the dashboard, with Apple CarPlay and a navigation system. Signature safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and a rearview camera.
