The 2022 Tesla Model S is technically still part of the first generation ten years after its introduction, which is partly due to the company's Over-The-Air (OTA) update approach. Two powertrains are on tap, a 670-horse dual-motor setup in the Long Range or a tri-motor with 1,020 hp in the Plaid model. In both cases, a single-speed transmission directs power to all four wheels and a 17" monitor handles infotainment duty.
