2022 Volvo XC Overview

The 2022 Volvo XC60 is a luxury SUV that combines safety, style, and comfort in a chic package. Upgraded this year with mild exterior tweaks and improved in-car tech, it is offered in three trims: Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription, and is also available in plug-in hybrid versions.

It runs on a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 250 horsepower, with an option for a zestier 316 horsepower engine. AWD and an eight-speed automatic come standard. Its mild-hybrid option uses 48-volt hybrid tech, while the XC60 Recharge, the plug-in hybrid, delivers a gutsy 400 horsepower or 415 in the Polestar Engineered model.

Volvo has updated the 9.0-inch vertically oriented touchscreen with a more user-friendly interface developed in partnership with Google. Among its standard safety features, Volvo City Safety system is notable, which applies the brakes automatically to prevent impending accidents. Other tech features include lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
