The 2026 GMC Terrain is an impressive compact SUV and is a part of the model's second-generation lineup. The vehicle comes standard with a front-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive option is also available. The powertrain consists of a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 170 horsepower, or a more powerful 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo that makes 252 horsepower. Both come with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The GMC Terrain is available in four trims: SL, SLE, SLT, and the luxuriously appointed Denali. Key safety features include forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking, part of the Pro Safety Plus package. Infotainment highlights include a standard 7" or optional 8" touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, and an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. For 2026, the Terrain receives more standard features and a freshened exterior.
