The ’77 model marked the last year for the flat rear window. In ’78, the rear window would be changed to a “fastback” bubble design that offered more rear storage room. However, in ’77, you could order a roof/luggage rack for the rear deck to give you more room on the inside.

There were two engines, and three transmission choices offered this year. The standard setup was the L48 350ci/180hp V8 with 3-spd Turbo 400 automatic transmission. You could also choose the M20 wide ratio 4-spd. manual for the L48. But if you wanted a bit more forward momentum, then you could order the L82 350ci/210hp V8. The automatic was available with that engine, as well. But for some buyers, only the close ratio M21 4-speed would do! And that’s exactly what the original owner of this pristine ’77 ordered!
Not only does this Shark have the L82 under her hood, but it’s mated to the very sought-after M21, making it the rarest ’77 you could get! And if that’s not enough, how about it being an all-original (other than maintenance items) 10k mile multiple N.C.R.S. Top Flight winner! Yes, this Corvette has managed to rack up only 10k miles since it rolled out of St. Louis! And the car is beautifully preserved with excellent cosmetics and a strong running, smooth-shifting drivetrain!
