This 1988 Porsche 911 Targa is a very well-maintained example that has been carefully owned and properly serviced throughout its life. I purchased the car from a gentleman in Santa Monica, California, who owned it for several years. Prior to his ownership, the car had already been extensively maintained and well sorted, and he continued that same level of care during his time with it.
Over the past two to three years, approximately $12,000 was invested in maintenance at Sublime and Woodin Hill Porsche. This work included a major brake overhaul, suspension components, new tires, servicing of the air-conditioning system, and additional maintenance items. As a result, the car runs and drives exceptionally well. The ride is smooth yet sporty, and the car feels properly dialed in.
The Targa is finished in black over a linen interior and is powered by the legendary 3.2-liter engine paired with the desirable G50 transmission. The motor is very healthy, sounds great, and delivers strong power, while the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Regular oil changes have been performed annually, and there are no known oil leaks.
The car comes with extensive documentation and original items, including all maintenance records, the owner’s manual, a Certificate of Authenticity, the original compressor, and the factory tool kit. It rides on 16-inch Fuchs forged-alloy wheels fitted with like-new Continental tires and is equipped with a new Porsche Classic radio.
