1969 Chevrolet Camaro, LS3 Swap
This Camaro received a full restoration in 2017 and presents with a strong combination of updated mechanicals, quality workmanship, and tasteful upgrades.
Interior:
The interior features restored upholstery, carpet, deluxe door panels, and headliner, all returned to an original style. Custom additions include digital gauges in the factory cluster, a custom console with Alpine stereo, and a five speed Hurst shifter. The locks operate on a power key fob. Vintage Air is controlled by the factory style controls in the stock location. All gauges and accessories function properly and the headlight doors open and close as they should. The car has a tilt steering column and a reproduction SS steering wheel.
Exterior:
Originally Hugger Orange code 72 on the cowl tag, the car was professionally refinished in white during the restoration with no visible trace of the original color. The black stripes are correct and show only light bleed on the pinstripes. Overspray on a few chrome and rubber pieces indicates the car was painted after assembly. Chrome, insignias, and glass are all in good condition. The 8 inch rally wheels include correct rings and caps and are in good condition. Tires have strong tread and are date coded 2017. Receipts from that period are included.
Engine:
The engine bay is detailed with a smoothed firewall on the passenger side. The LS3 fires up cold quickly with 40 PSI of oil pressure. The setup includes headers, a K&N air filter system, and a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and chrome overflow tank. Power steering is equipped but there is no power assist due to the Wilwood master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve. Billet hood hinges and gas shocks support the metal cowl hood. All fluids are clean and maintained.
Suspension and Chassis:
The chassis is cleaned and painted with all new stock style front suspension components and disc brakes at all four corners. The rear uses a Ford 9 inch with Cal Trac traction bars and a single leaf spring. A custom exhaust system runs from the headers to just behind the rear tires in the stock style exit location.
