1967 Volkswagen Beetle

Remember back in the 1960s and early 70s when kit cars were all the rage? Many companies produced these kit that covered various models and styles. Something for everyone so to speak. One of the larger more popular companies was Fiberfab from California. The Avenger GT kit was extremely popular and could be assembled right at home on a chassis you provide. Most were put on a VW pan and built from there. Our beautiful example was purchased in around 1970 and built on a 1967 VW Beetle pan. This car was finished in the early 1970. It was painted orange and used for a few years through the 70 when the owner parked it in his garage and never did anything further with it. The car remained in the same spot for over forty years until his passing. the car was purchased by a local restorer who had a vision. That vision is what you see here! The car was completely disassembled and was given through a pretty comprehensive restoration. The interior is completely new and brought up to 2025 standards. The no-hit body was striped and refinished in bright viper red. New wheels and tires (American Racing Wheels) The brakes are fresh. The engine was tuned and runs like a watch. This little resembles a GT 40 and actually fools a lot of people at first glance. If you want the look of a Ford GT 40 but don't want to spend ten million dollars, this is a great alternative.
