Seller's Notes

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Highly original, unrestored 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
• Power steering, power brakes, power windows, 4x4!
• Believed to be original white paint with factory woodgrain still in great condition
• Tan leather interior in original condition
• AMC 360ci V8 engine
• Power windows and rear glass work!
• Lived nearly all its life in the Pacific Northwest–super clean body!

BODY OVERVIEW:
This Grand Wagoneer wears its history proudly. The body is well-preserved thanks to its Pacific Northwest roots. The signature woodgrain decals, an absolute hallmark of the Grand Wagoneer, are in great condition. All wood trim is present and appears to be in original condition. Though there are some minor scrapes and dings consistent with an unrestored vehicle of this vintage, the body presents nicely!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The white paint appears to be original and still presents well from a few steps back, but it does show flaws throughout including clear coat delamination, chips, and scratches. As a survivor vehicle, the paint tells the story of over three decades of honest use–long before this became a sought after and valuable classic car. Discerning buyers will appreciate the authenticity of original paint, or see it as a solid canvas for a future paint job.

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The tan leather interior is a time capsule of 1980s luxury. It’s in nice original condition with expected wear from age and mileage, but nothing that detracts from its charm. This Wagoneer is the peak of 1980s American luxury, and laid the groundwork for modern luxury SUVs. The factory appointments, including the plush seating and wood accents, give it that unmistakable Grand Wagoneer feel. As shown in the photos, there is wear present in common areas such as the steering wheel and trunk carpet. Overall, this thing looks great after nearly 40 years on the road!

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
Under the hood lies the tried-and-true AMC 360 V8, which fires up easily and delivers the smooth idle and confident power expected of a Grand Wagoneer. The drivetrain feels strong, and power features function as they should. This Jeep is a very comfortable ride–the polar opposite of a CJ or Wrangler, though still a capable offroader when needed. Power windows (including the rear glass) are functional, and the modern stereo sounds great! The tires have lots of tread on them, and are a good mild offroad tire that doesn’t compromise the ride on paved roads. As a whole, this comfortable cruiser is ready to ride today!

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:
• Authentic, unrestored originality
• Solid body with Pacific Northwest history
• Beautiful woodgrain side decals
• AMC 360 power and classic Jeep character
• Power features everywhere!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR:
• Original paint shows its age
• A/C system is incomplete with compressor removed
• Interior shows wear consistent with mileage and age

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING?
• A/C system repair or replacement if cold air is desired. The compressor is not present.
• Cosmetic restoration if you want perfection, though it is fully usable as-is!

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR?
This Wagoneer is perfect for the enthusiast who values originality and wants a solid, unmolested survivor and doesn’t want to pay an astronomical amount of money for a flawlessly restored car that can’t be enjoyed without fear of rock chips or other damage. It’s a fantastic candidate for someone who wants to enjoy a classic Jeep just as it is, or for a collector who’s been hunting for the right foundation to perform a high-level restoration. Whether you’re after nostalgia or simply a cool classic cruiser, this Grand Wagoneer delivers!
