2008 Ford F-150

The Car Dad worked for both Ford and General Motors during my childhood, so us kids were regularly in and out of both brands. Our friends at little league and school activities that caught rides with us were always impressed by the high end rides Dad kept us in, and this F-150 has me nostalgic. At the Lariat trim level, it means this vehicle is luxury and American comfort through and through. This unit is the SuperCrew, with 4 doors and a standard sized truck bed with a bed liner. Comfortable, sturdy black leather seating that can comfortably fit 6 is complemented nicely by the Ford AC that truly understands how hot it can be in the California summer, and knows exactly what to do about it.

This was an immaculately cared for, 1 owner vehicle. It was driven less than 6,000 miles a year and still has just under 92,000 miles on it today. To prove that they took good care of it, I offer the fact that the person who owned it before (potentially) you kept the numerical passcode for the car, which means despite being over 15 years old, this truck has a type of keyless entry! Simply press the sequence into the number pad on the driver's door, and you can unlock the car. Very few fords we see at lots like ours don't have the SecuriCode system on them, but almost none of them still have the code!

As for the mechanical attributes of the car, it has a powerful 5.4L V8, a smooth shifting 4 speed transmission, and a fuel efficient rear wheel drive powertrain that will send you rolling down the road in style. The engine produces 300 horsepower with 365 ft-lbs of torque, perfect for maneuvering on the highway or towing several thousand pounds. Even with all those horses and the SuperCrew size, it still manages a respectable 13 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway.
