2016 Toyota Corolla S

You basically can't go wrong with a Toyota. If you pick a size class for a car, and get the Toyota model, you're basically set. Now each car has potential to become beloved, but the only legitimate complaint Toyota's get are that there's too many of them . . . but it's because of how reasonably priced and long lasting these cars are. Maintenance is inexpensive typically, and they're safe with great fuel efficiency. Our mechanics looked this vehicle over, and it passed smog with flying colors, and only need the brake pads replaced to pass a comprehensive safety inspection. A visual inspection of the car reveals the back bumper to be . . . flawed. Don't worry, watch this space for updated pictures soon, as we've already scheduled repairs.

This particular model is the Corolla S, a sportier looking cosmetic package, but that doesn't subtract from standard Toyota practicality. The 1.8L engine gives out 132 horsepower but still gives you an estimated 28 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. The NHTSA gives the car a 5 star safety rating. The touch screen is large and functional, giving you a great view through the backup camera. Despite being almost 10 years old, the car has no damage or accidents reported on the CARFAX and has only had 2 previous owners. And as they say: "third time's the charm!"
