1976 International Scout Traveler 4x4 1976 IH Scout II TRAVELER First year of the “Traveler” edition, produced from 1976–1980. This BEAST has been beautifully restored by a previous owner. Emphasizing both durability and comfort. Recent work includes the application of a spray-on bedliner over the original painted removable hardtop. Smooth black stone guard coating applied to both rocker panels. All body bushings have been replaced recently. Newer Orange and Black Houndstooth seats and rear side panels. The undercarriage components were cleaned, painted, or refreshed to enhance the overall presentation at the time of restoration. All chrome window lacing has been replaced. Recent mechanical maintenance performed, installation of new spark plugs, a fresh oil change, and replacement of the oil pan gasket. Equipped with the 304 V8 engine paired to the Chrysler TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission. This configuration offers a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds and features a Dana 20 gear-driven transfer case with 2H / 4H / Neutral / 4L settings. The part-time four-wheel-drive system includes manual locking front hubs and front and rear leaf spring suspension (also new at restoration). Additional features include power steering, power brakes, and functional air conditioning, which blows cold, too. Originally, this Scout had white vinyl stripe, but at restoration, it was changed to black paint. Upgraded with a 3-inch lift kit and a front-mounted, fully operational Pro 9500 Series steel cable winch. Heavy-duty steel bumpers front and back, XD 18-inch blacked-out wheels on 33x12.50R18LT tires. Seriously enhancing its full performance capability on the road and most importantly, OFF! This Scout will also come with original documentation, including the owner's manual and a copy of the original window sticker. The reverse lights, dome light, and gas gauge are not working. Miles showing 76,081, less than 5k since restoration.
