The 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 belongs to the first generation of the Sierra series, known for their solid build quality, comfort, and hauling ability. This workhorse truck is powered by a standard 6.0 L V8 engine with 300 hp. Some models come with an optional 8.1 L V8 that churns out a whopping 340 hp. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, with optional 4 or 5-speed automatic. It is available in two trims—SL and SLE, both serving different comfort levels. The vehicle has rear-wheel drive and optional 4-wheel drive. The Sierra 2500 doesn't boast high-tech infotainment systems, but it's equipped with a basic AM/FM radio. As for the safety features, it comes with 4-wheel ABS, front airbags, and an anti-theft alarm system.
