Euro Prestige Imports has currently completed a $27k restoration on this handsome three-door Range Rover V8 built in 1979 and imported from Costa Rica. The vehicle has been recommissioned and received a mechanical and full interior restoration by the present owner, presenting extremely well in the period color of Bahama Gold with a retrimmed Burberry finished interior. This 1979 Land Rover Range Rover Classic, Special Edition "Burberry" Themed interior Front & Bench Seats in Burberry Finish with Burberry Umbrella and Monksee themed sneakers!!! Did you know that the Range Rover, now responsible for a whole lifestyle movement, had humble beginnings? The first generation Range Rover was introduced in 1970 and was not designed as a luxury 4x4. The early models had fairly basic, utilitarian interiors with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards that were designed to be washed down with a hose. Convenience features such as power assisted steering, carpeted floors, cloth or leather seats, and wooden interior trim were fitted later in the production run or as options. Despite this, the Range Rover was marketed as 'A Car For All Reasons' and was more capable off-road than the Land Rover while offering a top speed in excess of 100mph.
