58,050 miles
1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Hardtop In 1968, GM introduced strict wheelbase policies about sizing.  But in 1969, they also launched the Pontiac Grand Prix, which was a lot longer than what A-body cars were supposed to be. This became known as the A-body special and later, the G-body. At the time, Chevrolet had a penchant for naming all of its sedans with a C - think Camaro, Corvette, Citation, Chevelle, Chevette, and so on.  So Monte Carlo was quite the deviation from the line, though it came out later that the name on the file for the Monte Carlo was actually Concours. This classy 1977 Monte Carlo, named after the large district near Monaco on the French Riviera comes to us via a collector who has a penchant for 1970 Detroit iron. It is a solid all original cruiser that's benefitted from careful use only on an as needed basis, and as a result has a low 58,055 title verified original miles. It would be hard to find more muscle and style for your money with this consignment gracing our Hallowed Halls. Exterior Deep end of the pool red paint done right from the factory with only a few non noticeable flaws, plenty of brite work, and a square opera window B pillar steel top drapes this '77 Luxo-Muscle, (Look! Up in the sky, it's a muscle car...no its a luxury car!).  True to form, a 1977 second gen Monte Carlo through and through, it sports a long, long hood, and almost as long trunk deck. All badging trim work and chromed bumpers are very clean and rust free.  Some black accenting trim surrounded by stainless runs through the body sides just below half way, and it sports stainless rocker coverings. Plenty of square and rectangle 70's design is present particularly with the grille, flanking dual stacked headlights fenders and tail lighting.  Produced when cars were cars and status was measured by the inch, we possess a nice winner that oozes success and a piece of red eye candy. Interior Plenty of shiny black is the color for the interior and it encompasses not only the seat bolsters and carpet but the dash surround, door panels, and headliner. A combination of vinyl and cloth, in almost perfectly preserved factory form, a front split bench and rear full bench have virtually no marks or stains and certainly no rips or tears.  The door panels are very clean vinyl and plastic coverings with all working cranks and a toggle for the exterior mirror.  Some burl accenting in wood appliqué for the dash instruments and radio panel on the lower dash are seen along with some extra round gauges residing next to the burl within 2 additional textured backed panels infant of the driver.  A standard GM Monte Carlo steering wheel fronts the dash.  We note air conditioning, a clock, and the factory AM/FM radio are also present. Red floor mats, protect wonderfully preserved and like new black carpeting flooding the floors. A nice tight black lightly textured headliner is above all this luxury and originality. Drivetrain Taking a gaze into the engine bay one catches a glimpse of an original blue block under a litany of hoses, ducting and wiring. This is a 350ci LM1 V8 engine with a factory 4-barrel carburetor on top.  The original TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is on back and a 10-bolt rear axle with 2.56 gears finishes the drivetrain up nicely. The engine is well preserved and just a slight bit of dust and some minor corrosion can be seen throughout, and you have to love the half mile deep fan shroud. Undercarriage Up on the lift we can see the meat of the operation from underside, we note power steering, power front disc brakes along with power drums on the rear. Single exhaust with a stock replacement muffler along with the usual suspects having some surface rust.  The frame is sturdy, as are rockers and floor pans. Independent suspension with coil springs provide the ride in front, and 4 link with coil springs have the rear covered. Drive-Ability I love test driving these low m
