Why This Vehicle is Special

We have a very rare and special black 1957 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood Limousine here at Skyway Classics that really epitomizes a top-of-the-line luxury car from Cadillac back in the fifties.

This 1957 Cadillac Series 75 limousine was owned by the president of the Bank of Commerce of Colombia in the late 1950s and was acquired by the seller in 2022 and imported into the US. It is finished in black over black leather and powered by a 365ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission.

The 365 cubic inch Cadillac V8 was revised for 1957 and produced an even 300 horsepower when new.

It looks like everything is just like it was back in 1957 with the blue paint on the engine block, heads, intake, and valve covers, Four-barrel carburetor, with the black factory air cleaner assembly, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power-Assisted Drum Brakes, Dual exhaust, and air conditioning.

It rides on steel wheels wearing Cadillac chrome wheel covers and whitewall tires with a full-size spare is mounted in the trunk.

The motor starts easily with the four-barrel carburetor and the dual exhaust has a nice rumble when moving the Caddy down the road in luxury.

Interior

The interior has everything in the great luxury condition as you would expect it to be especially on a stretch limo.

The front of the cabin is upholstered in black and it features a pleated leather bench seat, push-button AM radio, power windows, and an analog clock. It has had the interior metal surfaces repainted in black, recovering the dashboard and seats, and replacing the carpets and headliner.

The rear passenger compartment can be isolated from the front by an electrically operated glass partition and it has gray cloth upholstery on the rear bench and the forward-facing jump seats

Exterior

Design features on our Caddy Limo include hooded headlights, a concealed fuel filler, tail fins, and exhaust outlets integrated into the rear bumper.

The 1957 was repainted in original black and has a gold-tinted front grille and emblem. The body has all the right elements like the iconic tail fins, chrome trim, huge chrome front bumper, hood ornament, wrap-around chrome rear bumper with the exhaust coming out the rear, that make this the styling that was so great on this Cadillac, not only back then, but today.

Conclusion

No one did it better than Cadillac did with this rare and special black 1957 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood Limousine we have here at Skyway Classics.

This is a chance to own and drive a Cadillac with the level of luxury that was the fifties. And this one even has a special history as it was brought here from South America and owned by the President of the Bank Of Columbia.
