1953 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Sedan Chevrolet proudly presents three beautiful news series for 1953 - the distinctive Two-Ten series brings you dramatic new styling with rich interior appointments that set its seven new models apart from all other low-priced cars. Here in the 1953 Chevrolet, you will find America's greatest value...and your best buy!. 1953 sales brochure.  For consignment, a 1953 Chevrolet 210 2 door sedan that served a family well as a great cruiser.  The kids are older now and the car doesn't get as much use, so it's available for the next caretaker to tell stories of their own. It's a well sorted and attractive car that's ready to hit Main Street again! Exterior Monochromatic Yellow paint covers the car head to tail and includes the headlight rings, parts of the chrome bumper, and roof which was often a two tone accent back in the day. The hood has been shaved of any accoutrements and now provides a smooth surface with a rising cowl.  Slab sided front fenders wear a spear that travels the length of the car riding over the slightly articulated rear fenders and creating visual interest on the waistline of the car. A custom grille takes the place of the ornate original and is simple and sleek and meshes well with the 15-inch Cragar SS wheels to give the car an appropriate hot rod look. All of the metalwork looks great, including the bevel cut chrome tailpipes that exit with authority under the rear wrap around bumper under a smooth trunk and attractive, three part taillights.  While the horizontal surfaces have great paint coverage, we note several areas of bubbling, cracking, and dripping on vertical surfaces, mostly down low on the sides and front. Interior Black door panels in a velour like material are intersected a Zee formation trim piece while the front split bench mirrors the stitched pattern found on the doors and lined in vinyl sidewalls and a velour covered shell. The back bench is like new, and the sidewalls carry over the door design and materials. A black rimmed Grant steering wheel provides an ergonomic grip and the asymmetrical 1953 dash remains, completely engulfed in yellow, and housing Autometer and Sunpro gauges in a chrome backed pod.  Metal grating extends on the rest of the dash with an AM/FM/CD radio mounted underneath the retro dash. A grooved shifter knob is atop a robust stick, floor mounted and booted in a rubber accordion style cover. Black loop carpet covers the floor in good condition while velour finds its way to the headliner to complete the nice, matching interior. The trunk is unfinished and clean. Drivetrain The big hood rises to reveal a relatively clean engine bay filled with a 350ciV8, with an Edelbrock intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and headers. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission handles the transfer of power and sends it to the 10 bolt rear. Power disc brakes are up front while power drums are on the back wheels. Undercarriage Clean and driver quality underneath, however we do note some invasive rust most prevalent on the inner rocker panels and one area on an upper frame beam. The dual exhaust ride cleanly into a pair of Cherrybomb mufflers and suspension consists of a Mustang II front end and leaf springs in the rear. A few drops of oil are noted on the oil pan, the transmission pan, and some residual oil on the rear differential. Drive-Ability Oh yes, we can totally see this as the vehicle for family fun nights, whether cruising Main Street with our neighbors, or for fun ice cream run, this bright yellow hot rod fits the bill. The 350 sounds great through practically straight pipes and has good acceleration, thwarted only by choice by those power brakes. It's a comfortable cab with lots of room and good visibility. Everything works with the exception of the radio which turns on but does not provide sound and we noted the volts are reading low.  Before the dawn of the infamous Tri-fi
