Seller's Notes

1933 Ford Model 40 Sedan Delivery A Pro Street car must be drag racing oriented and have wheel tubs under the back end that allow for oversized, very wide tires to be fit under the stock body.  That's fact.  As for my opinion, a Pro Street car is typically also stock bodied and ostensibly street driven. When the style originated in the mid to late '70s, it was inspired by the NHRA drag racing Pro Stock class of the mid '70s, hence where the Pro in Pro Street came from.  David Freiburger thx to Motortrend.com  For consignment, a 1933 Ford Model 40 Sedan Delivery, a pro street ride with a blown big block, with a title verified 10,155 actual miles, a bitchin' blue body, and bodacious back beefy tires.  The interior of this fiberglass bodied car is uniquely wrapped in oatmeal tweed and has more gauges than a 747.  Exterior Medium Blue Metallic covers this sedan delivery, one of 10 body styles available in 1933.  Chopped style and shaved, the smooth panels gleam with two stage paint.  Wide front fenders are closer to the ground as they would have been in 1933 and the width continues to the running boards, which eventually taper and meet the rear fender, also flared and hovering over tires that go deep towards the center of the axle.  33 is cleverly frenched into the rear panel and serves as the third brake light while more authentic examples are perches on the fenders above a chrome bumper that dips elegantly in the center.  An air scoop peeks over the hood while the long roofline is raked as a result of the staggered size wheels and tires.  15-inch Centerline Convo Pro wheels are front and rear with 31x18.5-15 tires in the back.  Imperfections include some paint run, chipped paint, and some scratches in the wheels.  Interior The doors open suicide style and reveal a X-pattern in the tweed door panels which continues around the window frame.  We follow the tan tweed as it covers the dashboard, wraps around the windshield, covers the footwell wall, the headliner and most of the cargo area.  This creates a decidedly monochromatic look inside and even the roll cage, fire extinguisher, and steering column are included in the coverage.  Tall bucket seats are also tan but more of a velour material and plush tan carpet covers the cabin and cargo area and a five point safety harness seat belt is provided.  A Grant steering wheel fronts the dash where 10 AutoMeter gauges including the large speedometer and tachometer present to the driver along with a shift light and numerous switches on the overhead console.  A Pioneer AM/FM/CD player is on the right and a B&M shifter is on the floor.  Drivetrain Open to the air, we see a very clean 502ci V8 with a 671 supercharger topped by dual Holley 4-barrel carburetors.  Nitrous is onboard for that extra kick in the shorts.  Transferring the power generated is done by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission with a manual valve body and transbrake.  The spin is sent to the rear wheels, of course, where the Ford 9 holds 4.88 gears with TracLoc.  Headers are present and accounted for.  Braided lines are o'plenty and large purple ignition wires snake down to the sparks.  Undercarriage The rather complex and colorful underside begins with heat wrapped exhaust that finds its way into Flowmaster mufflers and then exits left and right through massive exhaust tips.  The purple painted racing frame includes drive shaft safety loop and transmission guard.  Front suspension is a Mustang II unit with coilovers and the rear includes ladder bars with coilovers.  Drive-Ability We ignited the 8 cans and rolled loudly onto the test loop.  To state the obvious, it takes off like a rocket ship, shifts smoothly, and goes very well in a straight line.  It's actually a good driver and comfortable cab too for those non competitive jaunts with all functions working as they should.  While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our te
