This Grand Prix special edition was given away as part of a promotion by Pepsi and Richard Petty in 1991. It was also reportedly displayed at the Richard Petty Museum for a number of years.
The included window sticker shows this Pontiac carried a sticker price of $17,557. In addition to the special badging and exterior graphics, it came equipped with Option Package 3 From ASC, the Aero Performance Package (aero ground effects and wheel flares, wide body kit, 16-inch cross-lace alloy wheels, split dual exhaust), rally handling suspension, a sport steering wheel, air conditioning, and more. All documentation including signatures from Petty himself are included. 43 of these cars were to be given away, but only approximately 22 were to have been claimed.
