1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle

1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle; This car is ready for the summer, new tires, brakes , tune up, fuel pump, gas tank, carburetor and battery. Turn key and starts right up every time. Numbers matching engine and transmission. All original glass except for drivers rear window, car is 52 years old, someone knows why that one glass was changed, but its not me.. lol The interior is in really good shape for its age, believed to be the original 66k miles as shown on odometer, still holds its original radio, still has the factory sticker on steering wheel with ' starting intructions' . I have owned this car about three years, when I purchased it, was told it had just come out of 25 year warehouse storage, the tires on car at time of purchase were from the 90's so the story appeared to be true. The paint is not perfect, clear coat on the roof and hood is flaking, at some point in its life the car was repainted once but they kept it the original color, the original cardboard spare tire cover is still in the trunk !! Still has the original gas cap !!! Floor pans and rockers are extremely solid as well as the battery tray. Some small rust ( bubbles ) on drivers side and on drivers side drain rail. Again, was told where this car sat for 25 years was inside a warehouse with the drivers side facing a building window that was broken allowing rain water to reach car. This explains why the drivers side has the early rust and not the more common passenger side. Car is perfectly presentable to drive as is and always gets looks and comments . Pictures says the rest. These Bugs are getting hard to find in such original cared for condition.
