The Honda CRF230L was introduced in the 2008 model year. Note that this model shares almost nothing with the CRF230F. The CRF230L is manufactured in Japan and shares more in common with the old XR200 (the motor, at least) than the Brazilian built CRF150F or CRF230F. Note: We're not saying any motor parts from the old XR200 interchange with the CRF230L! Simply put, we see evidence of the XR200 lineage when examining the CRF230L motor.
