2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe On the road, the Z06's ride is firm, not but not harsh. It lays flat in the corners when pushed, and you can easily guide the rear end with the throttle. This is not a beginner car, nor one that you should be afraid of. Instead, the C6 Z06 is a pure driver's car which lets enthusiasts enjoy the pleasures of driving without an overabundance of electronic nannies ruining all the fun. Regardless of price, the Corvette Z06 is one of the most visceral sports cars you're ever likely to pilot. Autonation Drive, November 2019 For consignment, a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe with a title verified 6,936 actual miles. Clearly, that kind of mileage can only mean it was a pampered garage queen and offered quality over quantity for the previous owner, of which there was only one! The C5 and C6 Z06's remain some of the most impressive performance bargains in the market. Exterior Scoops are where it's at for this Vette, and differentiates it from mere mortal Corvettes, and it starts with the hood scoop, actually on the nose piece, but at the end of a tapering bulge on the hood. No matter how much you brag, 3.5 inches just isn't a great distance, but on the expanded width of the Z06 over the standard Stingray, it might as well be a foot and gives this Machine Silver Metallic rendition all the aggressiveness of an IMSA prototype. It also provides room for bigger rubber, 325/30ZR19's on back, 275/35ZR18 on front and the tires have a mid 2021 date code. 5 spoke chrome wheels leave plenty of air space to show off the red calipers and red also makes an appearance on the side air duct Z06 emblems where 505hp is also expressed in red. There's a scoop behind the door which cools the rear brakes and out back, quad exhaust under a wide rear fascia with, of course, four tail lights, capped by a third brake light. We did not find any glaring exterior imperfections. Interior Ebony plastic panels make up the door panels which are simple and neat and include a Bose speaker contoured into the corner. Inside, black leather bucket seats are both inviting and heavily bolstered, adorned with attractive red stitching and the Z06 logo on the headrest, and both are in great shape. A meaty leather wrapped steering wheel equips the driver with confident grip while the simple instrument cluster ahead is concise and clear and you won't be cycling through touch screens to know how the car is doing. Control buttons are arranged like parentheses and surround the cluster within easy reach. The center stack does have a screen for GPS and the AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth connectivity, over a row of simple buttons that make up the climate panel. And if you brave cold temperatures to take this performer out, heated seats are on call for both you and your passenger. The Z06 always comes with a manual and a stout stick awaits your manipulation while your elbow stays planted on the armrest. Low pile black carpet covers the floor like a second skin and also coats the cargo area in back, and everything we just talked about is in essentially mint condition. Drivetrain Dressed in red plastic covers is the mighty 7.0 liter LS7 V8 pumping out 505 horsepower, 100 more than C5 Z06, and that car was no slouch! It's mated to a TR6060 6-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear axle with 3.42 gears with limited slip. Naturally, power disc brakes on drilled rotors occupy the front and rear of this street legal trackable car. Undercarriage 6,000 miles has had very little impact on the underside which is clean and free of surface rust. We note a drop of oil at the plug and a film on the pan, but all else is dry and clean. The dual exhaust comes off of headers and into Borla mufflers and quad tips. Corvette's SLA double wishbone suspension with transverse mounted composite leaf springs make up the complex suspension of front and rear. Drive-Ability An absolute train on rails, this Z06 presents
