1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Despite the limited number of cosmetic and mechanical changes, the sale of 1994 Corvettes actually rose to 23,330 units despite a modest price increase to $36,185. Even with the increase in Corvette sales, the ZR1 Corvette sales continued to suffer with only 448 units sold in 1994. Given the year over year decline in ZR1 sales, it was announced by General Motors that 1995 would be the last year for their King of the Hill. In 1995, the Impala SS used the line, Lord Vader, your car is ready to advertise its solid black car. Corvette may have missed the opportunity to scoop the Star Wars reference with, Storm Troopers, your car has arrived in 1994. Exterior It is this solid Arctic White exterior that makes the car a striking sight and some of us remember that Johnny Carson was one of the first buyers of an early C4 Corvette and his was white, forever linking the hue with fame, sunny California, and exclusivity. This example sports the integrated front marker lights on a more rounded fascia, while the tail also softens from previous year's right angles and flat surfaces. 17-inch turbine style wheels look exactly right on this car and appear to move forward even as standing still. The smoked glass top of the car creates a fighter jet like profile and a basket handle type pillar that separates the top from the swooping rear wrap around glass. Larger than stock quad exhaust tips peeks out from under the squared tail lights and this pampered car shows only some chips on an edge, and a bit of curb rash and delamination on the wheels. Interior Attractive two tone doors insert a black panel with switchgear between red, presenting cleanly greet us upon opening the doors. Step over the carpeted door sill and into the sport leather bucket seats in red, with the driver seat showing some significant wear with faded creases and edge fade, the passenger seat to a much lesser degree. The thick sporty steering wheel holds an airbag under the Corvette embossed logo leading to the dome shaped gauge cluster with rising tachometer, descending operational gauges, and the speed displayed digitally on the orange backlit center screen. A dark panel of idiot lights is in the center stack above the push button A/C panel and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD radio with AUX, Bluetooth, and USB. A clean center console holds the shifter and seat controls while red carpet blends visually with the red lower dash and is protected by black carpeted mats. The rear cargo area is also a mix of red carpet and black mat and presents cleanly. Drivetrain We open the hood forward to a clean engine and bay, housing the 5.7 liter LT1 powerplant rated at 300 horsepower and electronically fuel injected. A 4L60E 4-speed automatic backs it up and sends power to 2.59 gears in the limited slip rear differential. Only power disc brakes would do for this American sports car and that's what's on board at all four corners. Undercarriage Relatively clean underneath with minimal surface rust, clear knuckles, and only residual oil on the pan. The dual exhaust runs down the middle, meets an X pipe, then splits out to meet up with MagnaFlow mufflers right before the quad tips leave the underside. Suspension is a complex race inspired system of forged aluminum control arms, knuckles, control links along with transverse monoleaf springs and a tubular U-joint aluminum driveshaft.     Drive-Ability We are going to take it slow and short with this one as the 21 year old tires are dry rotted and cracked. A quick loop reveals a fine running LT1, good braking and handling we know will be fantastic with new rubber! Meanwhile, the passenger's window can only be controlled by the switch on the driver's door. All other functions operate as they should on this white wedge. While
