2001Ford Ranger Coyote GT Pick up truck, Custom Build 500hp V8 6 speed Manual Transmission.
Over 100k Spent on the Build in 2015 Nothing mechanical remains from the Original Ranger. Basically its a Mustang GT with a pick up bed, but weighs 600lbs less than a Mustang. Re-upholstered red leather Corvette sport seats.
All 2012 Mustang GT electronics and dash installed and work correctly( GPS Phone, cold ac , etc )
The wheels are custom TSW forged 19x8.5" front and 20x11" rear. Rear Tires are Cooper RS3 Zeon with 255/45zr19 and 305/35zr20 rear. Tires only have approx 2000 miles on them. Previous owner had the Truck built to his specifications.
This build was completed by a retired Ford SVT engineer.
The 2012 donor Ford Mustang GT only had 5,000 miles on it. 10,000 miles has been put on the truck so it has 16500 miles .
The entire 5K mile Mustang GT firewall, 5.0 engine, 6 speed manual Getrag MT-82 transmission, complete dash/gauges with My Color, console, ambient lighting, tilt steering column, wiring, 4 piston Brembo brakes with 13" rotors up front and 12" rear, braided steel brake lines, ABS, traction control, etc all has been transplanted like a factory build onto this Ranger. Custom motor mounts were made as was the transmission mount. A 6" aluminum driveshaft was custom made, balanced, and fitted with 1350 U-joints.
A Ford Racing Boss 302 intake, 47lb injectors, and 5" air intake with K&N air filter along with a custom dyno tune with SCT 4 tuner bring the power output to 475 Rear Wheel Horsepower which is around 520 flywheel HP. The oil filter is relocated to behind the front bumper. Custom made aluminum 14 gallon fuel cell with original Mustang fuel pump is installed under the bed. On the freeway on long trips you can still get a 300+ mile range and truck easily gets 25+ MPG on trips, even at 80MPH. All fuel lines were custom made mandrel bent stainless steel. Frame was powder coated a hammer-tone finish and all suspension components are either red powdered coat, or plated. Engine box, bed, and underside of cab are all sprayed with Rhino-lining to deaden sound and protect the truck.
Front control arms and ball joints were new from Ford for the build. The electronic steering rack was also retrofitted from the Mustang GT and has soft, normal and sport modes. Rear differential is a rebuilt and powder coated 2012 GT500 8.8" with Torsen differential, Ford Racing 3.73 gears, Ford Racing bearing kit, and 31 spline hardened axles. Rear end cover is a ribbed Ford Racing unit to keep diff cool and has been powder coated. Rear suspension is a custom TCI 4 link with an Eibach 7/8 rear sway bar with urethane bushings and and adjustable track bar with heim joints.
Rear shocks are adjustable stainless steel QA1 coil overs and you can adjust the ride height to your liking. Rear springs are a 550lb rate. It handles like a slot car with out being rough riding. It handles and rides amazing. Exhaust is custom made headers mated to a ceramic coated 2.5" H-pipe, ceramic coated 2.5" mandrel bent piping, ceramic coated Flowmaster 45 series mufflers and polished Magnafow resonators with turndowns. Sounds fantastic with a deep tone with out being loud inside. Inside has been fully Dyna-matted with their sound deadener to keep the interior quiet and rattle free. Custom door panels were made with armrests and window/lock switches.
Original fuel tank door and taillight holes were welded up and filled. Has the 2011 Ranger Sport front bumper and grill and HID headlights and fog lights. They are very bright and you can see as well as daylight at night with them on. Truck was block sanded before painting and it is laser straight. Paint, glass and custom bodywork cost over $10K alone. All glass was new and installed after the paint. Windows are tinted. The paint is 3 coats of PPG Lincoln Tuxedo Black metallic and 3 coats of PPG clear. Color and paint is beautiful. The metallic flake really pops under certain lighting.
