1995 Honda Africa Twin 750
Between the RD03 (XRV650, 1988–1989) and the RD07 (XRV750, 1993–1995), the RD07 is generally considered the better all-rounder—it’s more comfortable, refined, and tour-friendly, while retaining rugged off-road capability.
RD07 (1993–1995) – Early Version XRV750
• Engine: 742 cc V-twin, ~60 hp, same as RD07a.
• Frame: New double-cradle steel frame (replacing RD04’s), lowering center of gravity.
• Weight: ~205 kg dry.
• Seat height: ~860 mm (already lower than RD03/RD04).
• Fuel tank: 23–24 L, redesigned to carry weight lower.
• Suspension: Adjustable front forks (compression & rebound) + rear shock adjustability.
• Brakes: Twin front discs, improved over RD04.
• Styling: Square headlight fairing, Dakar rally look.
• Vibe: More touring-friendly than RD04, but still a bit raw/off-road focused.
• Engine & Power: Upgraded to 742 cc, ~60 hp with more torque.
Chassis & Ergonomics:
• New double-loop steel frame for lower center of gravity.
• Lower seat height (dropped to ~860 mm), easier for shorter riders.
• Features: Redesigned bodywork, larger carburetors, updated fuel tank (now 24 L), radial tires, improved braking, and comfort enhancements.
• Touring Edge: Widely praised for its long-distance comfort, bigger tank, wind protection, and plush ride.
RD07
• Strong aftermarket support (luggage systems, seats, suspension upgrades, crash bars).
• Easy to adapt for touring or off-road.
• Many still used as true adventure machines today.
Known for bulletproof longevity.
