Although to the cynic, the seventh-generation Impala was simply a Caprice optioned with the 9C1 Police Package, what those naysayers don't seem to understand is that although there was no official swagger package, this 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS is far more than just the sum of its parts. When it was new, the Impala SS pumped out an underrated 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque which was routed through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission before being sent out to the factory ten-bolt rear where a set of 3.08:1 gears waited to transfer those ponies to the pavement via those aforementioned five-spoke wheels shod in 255/50ZR-17 Bridgestone rubber.
