2007 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 The Wrangler embraces the new without forgetting what it is that makes a Wrangler a Wrangler. That's why you can still fold down the windshield, pull the pins out of the exposed hinges and remove the doors, and peel away all or part of the roof to expose yourself to the admiring world. In the past, the Wrangler's hardtop was an all or nothing, garage clogging proposition. MotorTrend, Sept 2006 review of the '07 Wrangler For consignment, a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 with a title verified 25,318 actual miles. Here's a well preserved Jeep that quite possibly has never seen a dirt trail and is configured in the desirable two door layout for those independent individuals looking for some adventure! Exterior Our first walk around of the vehicles results in some satisfying sighs as the exterior is in fantastic condition, here in a great color which Jeep calls Steel Blue Metallic which has enough gray in it to blend wonderfully with the charcoal plastic components that include the roof, bumper cover, and wheel flares. Within those wheel openings, we find 17-inch cast aluminum wheels are wearing 255/75R17 tires and in stock configuration, they fit inside the wheel wells. Up front, a bull bar frames fog lights over the integrated lights in the bumper which also houses tow hooks. Wide side mirrors cling to the cowl and a covered spare tire is perched on the back. As mentioned, we could not find any exterior flaws on this 4x4. Interior Body colored steel frames gray plastic inserts in the door where you'll find the door pull, door opener, and some storage in steel plate stamped plastic. Once inside, gray and charcoal bucket seats await, tall backed and topped with headrests, vinyl surrounds washable cloth inserts. There are no rear seats and the cargo area is finely lined with cloth covered panels and a rubber floor mat and it's here where the integrated roll cage is clearly seen. The meaty 4 spoke steering wheel leads to an instrument cluster housed in a textured plastic dash, four simple gauges and some digital readouts, nothing overwrought to distract you from the boulder field ahead. The center stack is uniformly black with an AM/FM/CD radio, circular vents, and a basic A/C dial panel, and the materials seamlessly become the center console where we find the shifter and range selector, and requisite cupholders and armrest. Black carpet is protected by hardy weather mats at our feet and the light colored plastic ceiling is uncovered while an overhead console bridges the middle and contains vents, a dome light, and speakers.  Drivetrain Clean conditions prevail under the hood where resides a 3.8 liter V6, fuel injected and mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that splits power between the Dana 30 axle up front and the Dana 35 in back. Power disc brakes are at all four wheels. Undercarriage Many components including driveshaft, hub hardware, exhaust, and bolts have copious surface rust which is also present on the edges of the skid pads. Dry conditions are found under the engine but we do note some dampness on the front differential. Beyond that, everything is in place, dirt and grease free. Suspension includes coils springs with radius arms up front and a 3 link with coil springs and panhard bar in back. The single exhaust remains original, including the muffler and basic steel tip. Drive-Ability We take a giant step up and take our place in this tidy cabin, crank the V6 to life, and row through the gears on our way around the test loop. General purpose tires provide a smooth ride without the noise of knobbies, and visibility with this short wheelbase version is very good. There's decent power and smooth shifting, and turn-ins can be made with confidence. With less than 30,000 miles, we expected all functions to operate as intended and that's just what we found. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we canno
