49 miles
The two-door FJ43 is the medium-wheelbase version of the FJ40, and this example left the factory finished in Dune Beige (416). Approximately 13 years ago, the removable hardtop was welded to the body before it was repainted in beige with a white roof. Additional exterior details include dual side mirrors, a steel front bumper, rear ambulance-style doors, a rear step, and a rear-mounted spare tire. The rear door seals were replaced in April 2025. Detailed photos of the exterior, including imperfections, are provided in the gallery. The 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain K02 tires, which show date codes from 2023 and 2024. Manually locking hubs are equipped on the front axle, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners. The rear wheel cylinders, the brake master cylinder, and a brake hose were replaced in April 2025. The front-right wheel cylinder was replaced in May 2025, and the front brake hoses and the pressure bleeder cap were replaced in July 2025. The cabin features a split front bench seat and inward-facing jump seats trimmed in gray vinyl, along with a color-coordinating floor covering. Equipment includes air conditioning, polished interior trim, and a Sony head unit. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 79 kilometers (~49 miles). Total mileage is unknown. The ignition switch was replaced in April 2025. The fuel gauge works intermittently. A carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was installed under previous ownership and sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a replacement five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The carburetor was resealed, and the coolant was flushed in April 2025. Photos depicting the results of a compression test performed in April 2025 are provided in the gallery. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
