Seller's Notes

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 2 Door Coupe In 1969, half a million Chevelles were produced in varying body styles and trim levels. Half a million, narrowing down the options, just 13,858 2 door coupes of the 300 variant were produced that year, split between those fitted with a six cylinder and eight cylinder engine. The 300 was touted in the sale brochure as for a car with miserly ways about operating costs, the 300 Deluxe gets downright grand standish in looks and comfort.. For consignment, a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 2 door coupe with 2,576 miles since its build. What build, you may ask? How about a LSX V8 with a consignor stated 850 horsepower with 10 pounds of boost from the supercharger. If the orange paint doesn't get your attention, those figures sure will!  Exterior You guessed it, that's Hugger Orange brightening up this Chevelle that was admittedly born with a silver coat. The first thing that grabs you after the paint is the lean  mean stance, hunkered down on 15-inch Billet Specialties Street Lite wheels with widely staggered tires with a recent date code of early 2023. Black backed LED headlights also get this bad boy noticed and a cowl hood only hints at what might be going on underneath, also hinted by the Procharger front license plate. A black accent plate on the latch panel out back spans the space between the tail lights on the end which smartly contour the body lines and provide a muscular rear profile over the chrome bumper while tinted windows dress things up above. A bubble or two and a single scratch are the only exterior imperfections.  Interior Standard and clean black door panels include dual cranks for the two windows including the vent and provide the gateway to a race interior, starting with a six point roll cage and leather ProCar racing seats with 5 point harness. The back seats are still in place as the roll cage braces travel through the package tray and the crossbar carries a fire extinguisher. Up front, a four spoke steering wheel fronts a digital dash for the Holley EFI system while analog gauges are reserved for the A-pillar including fuel pressure and boost. Vent levers top an AM/FM/CD player in the center stack and it has AUX and USB ports with speakers mounted just below. The Holley Terminator screen is just below that. A ShiftWorks horseshoe shifter takes the center console and improves on a great design with the hardware to back it. Black carpet below, a nice headliner above, and a trunk that cleanly houses the battery box and fuel cell.  Drivetrain Okay motorheads, here's what it's all about. Of course it's clean, but what is it? How about a 408ci LSX V8 with a Scat stroker crank, Wiseco 9.0-1 pistons, and an intercooled Procharger D1SC supercharger over AFR 225 heads. Fuel is delivered through a Holley Terminator X-Max EFI system and power is delivered via a rebuilt 4L80E 4-speed automatic with a 4,000 rpm stall converter and lock up. The 12 bolt with posi in back has 3.73 gears, c-clip eliminators, and Strange 31 spline axles. Power brakes are here in the form of front discs and rear drums. And of course, Hooker headers begin the exhaust process in the bay.  Undercarriage Clean and uniformly black, there are also some racing items underneath including a driveshaft loop and an LPW Ultimate 12 rear differential cover. The dual exhaust goes through FlowMaster mufflers before terminating behind body panels, stealthily out of sight.  Suspension consists of coil springs in front and a 4 link with coil springs in back. Drive-Ability Although we're a stone's throw from Maple Grove Raceway, our policy dictates that this vehicle does not leave our premises. Darn, because we'd love to see what 850 horsepower can do on the track, but we'll leave that up to you. For now, we roll this beast around our short test loop to find almost everything in good working order and of course, enormous power underfoot expressed in a very healthy exhaust note bouncing off the hi
