The 1992 Lancia Delta 1.5 LX is a variant of the first-generation Lancia Delta, a compact family hatchback known for its success in rallying. The "LX" designation was a higher trim level featuring a 1.5-liter engine producing 84 hp. This particular example was the final year of the standard model as the Integrale versions carried on for two more years. With only 39k miles (63k Kms), the vehicle is well documented and in great condition. Only 2 other standard model Deltas are known to be in the US (both gold 1983 models). The final year model had the vented hood, side skirts, clear indicator lenses, and alloy wheels which were refurbished last year.
Equipped with electric front windows, power front door locks, and an adjustable steering column. The current owner imported the vehicle from Italy in 2024 accompanied by service records from 2013 with a lot of recommissioning work in 2019, including the timing belt. Vehicle has been driven sparingly and since acquiring the vehicle in 2024. During this time, the owner has provided proper servicing including, new front shocks, replacement emblems, a rebuilt carburetor, oil changes, and fuel lines.
Comes with spare keys, owner’s manual, tool kit, fitted car cover, removed emblems, and Italian registration. Known flaws include paint touch ups, scuffs on the bumpers, the headliner droops a bit, a chip in the windshield (repaired, but visible on the factory glass), and a few small paint defects on the hood under the clear coat. The owner is including a clutch kit for it, which was purchased as a precautionary measure when being imported it as few parts are available stateside. Upon receiving the vehicle, he found the clutch to be in good condition. You’ll find parts are available from the UK, and of course, Italy.
It’s fun to drive, vastly inexpensive to own compared to an Integrale, and practical. And you won’t see another one on the road!
