Universal Muscle Cars is proud to offer! 1969 CAMARO RS/SS396 "X22" We just got in this absolutely beautiful 1969 Camaro RS/SS396 "X22" that was recently "Frame-Off-Rotisserie Restored". Purchased from a local (literally around the corner) lifelong "Car Guy" and retired body shop technician. He told us that he bought the car in (2013) with intentions to restore it but until he retired (2019) never found the time to get it done. He said that he completed the car a few years ago (2022) and only cruised it a few times before storing it in a climate-controlled garage. He decided it was time to sell off some of his collection and contacted us to come take a look. We were truly amazed on how well the car was restored and how nice the car looked so we struck up a deal and bought it. CHECK IT OUT!! The body is extremely straight, solid and clean including the painted floors trunk and frame. We were told that whatever sheet metal that was replaced that he only used N.O.S. or AMD parts. He said that hundreds of man hours went into fitting the body ensuring straight panels with perfect gaps. It was then beautifully painted in code "72" Daytona Yellow using PPG base/clear that looks absolutely amazing! We just polished it to a beautiful show car shine and then added a 1-year ceramic coating to protect the shine. It also has all new chrome, trim and weather stripping too! The black "Deluxe Comfort Weave" bucket seat interior was also restored to new including the seats, door panels, headliner, carpets, dash pad and kick panels. It also has a factory console with gauge package and an in-dash tach! It is all VERY-VERY NICE!! Power comes from a healthy sounding 454 c.i. big block engine that we were told was professionally rebuilt during the extensive restoration process. We did inspect the valve-train and it all looks fresh and new. It runs strong and sounds awesome! It is backed up by a tight shifting Muncie 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter and a 12 bolt posi-traction rear with 3:55 gears. Other features include functional hide-a-way headlights (electric Detroit Speed) power steering, power disc brakes (front), Flow Master dual exhaust, 15" SS wheels with new B.F.G tires, Retro-sound stereo and everything in-between is brand spanking new including the Steering - Suspension - Brake System & Lines - Fuel System & Lines.
