2005 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 1 Convertible There are a few names synonymous with performance Mustangs; Saleen, Steeda, Shelby, and the house that Jack built...Roush. What Jack has done in terms of options is create stages, different levels of modification that go from simple cosmetic and mechanical enhancements to full on engine builds that are coupled with suspension, exhaust, supercharging, and design in the King of the Hill, the Stage III.  For consignment, a 2005 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 1 convertible showing 10,136 miles, but the true miles are unknown. Stage 1 is primarily a cosmetic package that bumps up the GT's aggression quite a bit and the addition of Foose wheels pairs a couple of legends in the aftermarket world in one slick car. Exterior The cool thing about a Mustang is you can always count on the iconic look it had in its humble beginnings to show through, and this year is no exception. From the modern covered headlights and the galloping pony on the blackened grille to the hockey stick cove on the rear quarters running up through the doors, along with the triple tail lights now greatly enlarged and more aero compacted to the rear roll pan, it harkens back but has a very forward look. This car has a Roush front chin spoiler, front fascia, rocker panels, rear spoiler, and of course the badging. Roush is stamped into the rear valance as well. Our car is bathed in Torch Red augmented by wide gold striping running from stem to stern. On top is a tan canvas convertible and its glass window in great condition. 20-inch Foose starfish shaped chrome wheels are on staggered width, low profile with an early 2021 date code and red calipers are clearly visible through the spokes. The exterior is in spectacular condition with some chin scrapes and a crack being the only imperfections.   Interior Opening the doors we see plenty of Medium Parchment molded plastic to form the door panels which present cleanly. The Roush interior included parchment leather covered power seats with tuck and roll red inserts. In back is a 2 plus 2 bench taking on the same dynamic covering and all are in great shape. Tan carpeting covers the floors and Roush embroidered floor mats are protecting this carpeting. Upfront a carbon fiber faceplate houses deep circular, inset white faced Roush gauges with 2 adjoining circular smaller center gauges and Jack's autograph just below. Chrome rimmed circular vents top the center stack where the carbon fiber continues to dress things up and surround a Shaker500 audio system for AM/FM/6 CD playing of the tunes, tilt wheel, power locks, power top, power windows cruise control and keyless entry. The robust shifter waits for commands from the center console and a cupholder provides some 21st century convenience. The trunk is finished in typical gray cloth panels and flooring, all clean. Drivetrain We have clean conditions in the bay, too, where resides the 4.6 liter 3-valve V8 rated at 300 horsepower and tied to a 5R55S 5-speed automatic transmission that routes power to the Ford 8.8 rear with 3.31 gearing and TracLoc. Undercarriage Very clean underneath with impressive dual exhaust that flows through stainless steel mufflers and each side terminates at square exhaust tips that fit the valance cut outs like a puzzle piece. Power disc brakes are present on all four wheels and suspension consists of Macpherson struts in front and a 3 link with coil springs and a panhard bar in back.  Drive-Ability It's not our car....it's not our car...we had to repeat this mantra so we wouldn't put our foot too deep into it, but then, that's daily meditation. An intoxicating exhaust note will cause a legal DWI with every drive and the comfortable and attractive interior is just a nice place to be. The likely low mileage results in every function on this car and we gallop this red pony back to the mall. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our t
