With only 708 300SE Cabriolets produced between 1962 and 1967, this top of the range Mercedes-Benz has always been a very rare and special car. This particular example has been meticulous restored and cared for by marque specialists, with every facet of car from the interior and exterior, to the soft top, to all mechanical systems being refurbished to an exceptional standard with over $80k of work being commissioned since the late 1980s. Featuring the all-aluminum, fuel injected M189 engine, a decedent of the M198 engine found in the famed 300 SL Gullwing, the 300SE was a technical tour-de-force with ample power. Combined with its sophisticated pneumatic suspension the car drives like nothing else of the period. The interior is just as incredible with its sumptuous White Grey leather upholstery, air conditioning (a rarity at the time) and exquisite wood trim, including a beautiful and highly unique all-wood gauge cluster.
