1990 Laforza Laforza

This is a very nice example of the ultra-obscure Laforza 4x4 SUV. Over 18 years of US-spec production, only a total of about 1200 of these exclusive luxury Italian-made SUVs were imported. These vehicles were based on an ultra-rugged military-spec chassis, and then outfitted with every excess and luxury they could conceive- high-grade Italian leather, power everything, high-end Blaupunkt audio system, moonroof, genuine wood trim everywhere, etc.For the engine, theyteamed up with Ford and powered these trucks with the high-torque specfuel-injected 5.0L V8 from the F-series trucks which was proven to be reliable and dependable. With a hitch, these trucks are rated to tow 8000 lbs. These vehicles were designed to compete with Range Rover as an extremelycapable off-roader with the highest level of luxury equipment. This example is a 1990 with 66,000 miles showing on the non-working odometer. This is a rare,hand-built and quirky vehicle that is 35 years old. I will do my best to describe everything that is working, and everything that is not. Firstly, the engine starts up perfectly and runs quietly and smoothly. The engine makes good power and runs really well. The transmission shifts perfectly. The 4x4 works properly. This truck drives very well down the road- it is tight, stable and handles surprisingly well. The suspension is tight with no clunks or sloppiness. Good brakes and tight steering. The interior has held up really well. The Italian leather used was theof the highest quality, and it shows. The leather seats and upholstery are in fantastic condition- no rips, not even particularly any wear. The carpets are in good shape, and overall the interior looks really nice. The power windows and sunroof are working properly. Here is a list of known quirks/issues/faults- the fuel guage is inop, the turn signals do not work, and the radio appears to need the code. The HVAC blower motor does not work. The vehicle has a push-button starter. The interior wood trim has warped somewhat and become delaminated in some places. The original aluminum wheels have recently been powder-coated. The tires have good tread. The battery has been replaced recently. There are no warning lights on the dash. These trucks are hard to find in any condition, but this is one of the better examples you will find. Too many of these trucks were neglected and left outside to deteriorate. This Laforza comes with a clean title, and has a perfect CARFAX report with no accidents and no damage reported. Kept inside my warehouse in Willoughby, OH.
