1,772 miles
1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Classic Auto Mall has been honored to be the host site for Camaro Nationals the past two years and for 2026 as well! It's the ultimate event for Camaro lovers and more than 500 cars pack our parking lot and onto the lawn area. Inside the mall, we line up some of the choice Camaros we have on consignment to extend the show to the inside. For consignment, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible showing 1,772 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This is a resto modded Camaro that we'd love to show to the Camaro crowd at Nationals, but chances are, this car will have found a new home by July 2026. At least we hope so, because this is one cool build! Exterior Wrapped in nothing but awesomeness with the near flawless paint job making using Corvette Cyber Gray Metallic with a very subtle nose stripe, ghost like in its presentation and this is no decal, it's painted. While we're there, gaze at the custom billet grille, with matching hidden headlights providing the epic RS look but even more streamlined and perfect alignment. The body hugs the big Billet Specialties wheels, 19-inch in front and 20-inch deep dish in back and staggered size tires that give the car a muscular stance. All lenses, including the tail light and markers, are smooth and framed in metal and the black canvas top holds a clear, plastic rear window, all in nice shape. So is the rest of the car with the only imperfection being a ding on the nose above the right headlight. Interior The interior is done nicely with leather and suede, beginning on the door panel where it alternates in wide bands. Black leather bucket seats are draped with suede in the center that flank a custom center console, also in black. In back, the 2+2 seats adopt the same materials and pattern, and each are in excellent shape. A billet steering wheel fronts the custom instrument cluster with brushed aluminum faced AutoMeter gauges and a green digital readout. Smooth surfaces cover the dash and house a AM/FM/CD radio and touch screen in the center where we note some loose material around the dash pad. The brushed aluminum look is also used on the shifter ball handle and stainless cupholders built into the smooth surface of the center console, all in show-like condition. Black carpet floods the floor in decent condition, and the trunk is finished in material covered panels. Vintage Air is onboard to keep things feeling cool while you're looking cool. Drivetrain A pop of the hood reveals an LS3 stroker 427ci V8 sitting in a reworked engine compartment painted satin to contrast the showroom shiny mill. A T56 6-speed manual transmission with a McLeod hydraulic clutch is bolted to the back, routed power to a Moser 9 differential. Painted engine covers to match the exterior and coated headers dress up this show piece and warrant the opening of the hood at any car gathering you attend. Undercarriage Don't be afraid to show off the underside too, as it's spotless and dressy with contrasting gray and black elements and chrome coil overs at each end. There are tubular control arms and a Heidts front end to enhance handling, as well as 4-wheel disc brakes from Wilwood. The gray exhaust runs through Magnaflow mufflers before terminating at chrome tips in the back.  Drive-Ability This well sorted showpiece does everything well, from quick starting to providing ample acceleration and power, to wonderful handling. Our tires are now 22 years old so we're maintaining our dignity while maintaining intact rubber and keeping speeds just high enough to test functionality, and voila! Everything on the car operates as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. In a word, impressive! Great wheels, nice paint, a smooth and custom interior, and the ability to open up the cabin to the air and sky. This is
