An upgraded PerTronix electronic ignition with a Flame-Thrower high-performance coil ensures reliable spark, while the engine retains an authentic inline-six character with enhanced performance.
The drivetrain has been thoroughly modernized for drivability. A World Class T5 5-speed manual from a 1986 Camaro provides crisp shifting via a Hurst shifter, connected through a 1956 Chevy six-cylinder bellhousing and 1954 Chevy linkage. A TCI crossmember with custom T5 transmission mount supports the setup, while power is sent through a custom driveshaft to a 1957 Chevrolet Positraction rear end with 3.55 gears.
