You need some excitment in your life? This will do it! The power, the rumble, and the wind in your hair is exhilarating. The Midstates Classic fiberglass body has amazing fit and finish. This Cobra has just over 4500 miles on the build and only 1500 on the performance built engine. This one has all the makings of a classic with the traditional colors and real knock off wheels too. If your heart isn't beating faster yet, check your pulse!
EXTERIOR: Classic beauty! The fiberglass has a really nice fit with good consistent gaps throughout. Looking down the side of the body it is nice and straight with beautifully smooth contours. The classic Monte Carlo Blue paint was applied with amazing attention to detail and the white racing stripes were painted on smooth to the touch. It has a shiny and reflective finish. The hood scoop, side pipes, and roll bar really enhance the profile. The pop up gas cap and remaining brightwork all have a lustrous shine. It has quick jack racing bumpers front and back that look really tough. It is complete with wing windows and tinted visors. Halogen headlights are a much appreciated addition. It is rolling on a set of Halibrand style 5 pin real knock off wheels. They are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that are a beefy size P295/50/R15 in the rear.
INTERIOR: Practical and pretty! It has an original design dash with all the necessary Smith gauges to monitor the vitals. The aftermarket Lecarra steering wheel is leather wrapped and has a nice fat grip. The bucket seats and door panels/pouches all have genuine leather upholstery that is durable and feels great. The Simpson racing harnesses keep you safe and snug when cutting the corners. The shifter for the 4 speed manual top loader transmission sits proudly front and center. A fire extinguisher has been mounted between the seats. The carpeting looks great and the floor has recessed foot wells built in to accommodate taller riders.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Nicely dressed! The 390 Ford FE V8 has been nicely built and runs fantastic. It has an Eledbrock Performer intake manifold and is topped off with a fresh looking Holley 4 barrel carburetor that also has a new linkage. Billet aluminum brackets and pulleys present really nicely, as do the finned 427 Cobra valve covers and matching finned oval Cobra air cleaner. It has an upgraded MSD 6AL electronic ignition box and power steering too. It's equipped with a CNC brand dual reservoir master cylinder that also incorporates a hydraulic clutch reservoir. The radiator was recently upgraded to an oversized aluminum unit that has an electric fan. We just custom fabricated some aluminum panels that push air directly into the radiator. An engine oil cooler was recently added. All the belts and hoses look to be in great shape and the horn is hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Utilitarian! The underside of the lid and jamb are painted slick like the exterior and the weatherstrip was replaced. The battery is located in the trunk and has a safety box that is properly vented. There is still enough room for a couple overnight duffle bags or folding chairs for the car show.
UNDERSIDE: Excellent! This car is equipped with the optional round tube frame. It has rack & pinion steering for increasing handling and maneuverability. Up front is a Mustang ll front independent suspension with tubular control arms, swaybar, and coilover adjustable gas shocks. Out back is a 4 link system with tubular control arms and coilover adjustable gas shocks. It was recently upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes that stop on a dime. The tough looking side pipes si
