From 1984 through 1989 Porsche would build what we now know is the last of the true 911’s and would offer a higher displacement 3.2 that Porsche claimed was 80% new. This is also the iconic sports car that every Porsche lover kid that grew up in the 1980’s had a poster or two of this exact car on their wall. Driving refinement was also improved over the SC models along with an increase in power to 217 HP. The only real cosmetic change that was visible was the integrated fog lamps as opposed to the exposed lamps on the SC. This particular 3.2 Carrera has just received a major mechanical restoration with what appears to have everything touched, repaired or replaced by a Porsche mechanic and fellow enthusiast. Receipts are totaling in the 25K mark and it shows with no leaks or smoke, no funky noises, nice easy idle, no vibrations and a true pleasure to drive down the road. All lights and gauges are in good working order and even the moon roof operates flawlessly. The original owners manual and keys come with the car along with the recent receipts as previously discussed. The car does have 100K on the odometer so it is not perfect but very nice driver quality cosmetics with appropriate wear and tear and maybe some paint touch ups throughout its life but the underside is solid and this is not a rusty car by any stretch. The interior also shows as it should with the dash separating in one spot and the rear luggage tray is warped. I tried to photograph the issues the best I could but please do not hesitate to ask any questions or even get an inspection on the car here in our Traverse City location. We all know where these cars have seen a pretty large increase in collectability over the years and there seems to be no slow down. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
