1964 CHEVROLET NOVA II WAGON (Super Car 1 of 1)
We just finished another amazing project.
As in the past of buying cars that supposedly have no issues….
Well, you get the picture.
Anyway, this beauty has excellent paint, great body (we love wagons!)
Lots of big money was spent all over the car. Motor, Transmission, Interior, Etc.
Looks like whoever did work ran out of money from about the front doors back.
As much of an incredible frontend – it was pretty much stock from there back other than relocation of battery to wheel well inside the back of the wagon (see picture).
We took apart and refinished front control arms.
Remounted front shocks.
The wiring sucked, we rewired the car and added LED lighting throughout vehicle inside and out.
Installed new fuel tank and new fuel lines and fittings.
So, there is an incredible list of build with this car which excited us and then what we did to make this a 1 of 1, pure pro tour driving machine….
We rewired the car. We added led throughout car including exterior (headlights and taillights) and interior lighting.
We added new shorty 3” headers and exhaust (borla extreme) with new x member- all stainless steel, including the clamps.
We added a complete Heidt’s rear end (410) that was custom designed with Heidt’s including c-member with saddled and strut rods, pinion support tubes and Subframe connectors to stop this monster…
We replaced the fuel injection system, the one they had choked the beast….
Added a Snipper 2 fuel infection system & Throttle body and tune harness and conversion kit.
New custom oversized drive shaft balanced for the power.
New MSD wires.
She had an ac compressor, but that was it. We finished the ac system in the car and plumbed under the hood
New Drive Shaft (Gilbert’s)
Willwood brakes all around
New dual mirrors
New windshield wiper motor
Rebuilt transmission- 460E with custom stll performance TC, 3500 stall converter- then re-ran new transmission lines
Reroute battery cables away from exhaust
Installed circuit breaker and fuse box under hood
New battery and custom cables
All new plugs, fluids, even replaced wiper motor
New tires.
Since we are dealing with a Corvette LS2 motor that is computer based and learning. We have let her out of the barn a few times to let her learn. Soon she goes to be dynoed, to see what that blower puts out.
New tires as well.
What you have here is a well-balanced family five door wagon that can be driven every day. And doesn’t turn into the beast until 3500rmp, due to the stall converter. Then she’s a jet….
Call us. Collector Motors 281.530.6000 It was fun building this car. It had a lot done already even though mixed up. Sorting is what we do best. Great team!
