- Bought by it's current owner back in 2001 and used it for his daily driver till the late 2000's, then, as an all too common story, gets married , has kids, buys a new daily driver for the family and parks the T/A in his parents garage until now. Through the years, the current owner did his best to start the car periodically and start to add upgrades to the car. Now knowing he'll probably never be able to give the car its full attention he wanted and his parents want their garage space back, he made the tough decision to sell the car.
- The car was already re-painted when he bought it back in 2001. He does not know when it was re-painted or if any body work was performed prior to being painted ? For its age, the paint shows very well and judging by the paint today, it was done professionally and done right ! Overall, the paint today is a very nice driver- quality paint job. Upon close inspection, you will see some minor scratches and a couple of touch-ups. My personal opinion is that it's at the perfect state , to where you can drive it to shows, cruise nights or weekend getaways and not have to worry about getting a scratch or paint chip, but still nice enough to get plenty of compliments. Body gaps are very nice. The hood and trunk open and close easily, although the hood cable needs some extra force to be pushed back in for the hood to close and latch properly, also, the hood scoop would need some adjustment for it not interfere when closing the hood. The current owner thought he had them, but, he doesn't, is the missing front grill covers. The driver's door opens / closes nice and solid, but, you start to feel it starting to sag a little and door hinges may need a little adjustment ? Passenger door, opens / closes very nice and solid with no sagging. Super solid firewall, undercarriage, wheel wells and trunk pan. There is some small bubbling starting to show on the corner bottoms of each door.
- The interior appears to mostly original. Dash pad is covered with a dash pad cover that is attached with some sort of adhesive I believe and didn't want to rip it off to see the condition of the dash pad. Working gauges. Aftermarket radio / CD player installed with aftermarket speakers. Car appears to be an original Power Window car, but , at some point, the prior owner before the current owner, installed roll up window cranks ? Both windows roll up and down with no binding, but are loose in the window tracks. Driver's door arm rest is coming out and will need replacing- passenger door arm rest is fine. Rear seats seem to be in good shape. Both front seats have seat covers installed to protect the seats and to hide some wear on the seats. All seat belts are intact and work. Have not tried the lights, signals or horn, but assume they work ? Lower interior map lights work, headliner map light does not. Car is equipped with tilt steering. Automatic transmission engages easily.

*Believed to be* original motor, starts right up and settles to smooth idle with no strange noises or smells ! I did happen to find some service history, dating back to 1995 and a couple of receipts show a transmission cooler installed in October 2000 and engine rebuild in November 2000. The engine rebuild does not show any detail of what was done for the rebuild ? Unfortunately, I wasn't able to drive the car long due to either a blown brake line or bad master cylinder- car does stop, but the brakes go to the floor , which is why also the only light showing on the dash is the brake light ? The Trans Am starts, stops, steers and drives, but it's recommended to have trailered until the brakes can be addressed, plus also recommended to have the car looked over and made road worthy before drivi
