This 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was initially sold by Bob Neill Mercedes of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The car is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in the original #040 black over #277 burgundy leather upholstery. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, hard top, silver-finished 15 Gullideckel alloy wheels, fog lights, a Boss 7-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, and automatic climate control. This R107 body 560SL is now offered with factory literature, the initial purchase contract, service records, tool kit, and a clean Carfax report.

The interior features bucket seats trimmed in burgundy leather along with a matching center console and door panels. Interior features include a Boss seven-inch touchscreen head unit, Alpine front speakers, and automatic climate control that was converted to utilize R134a refrigerant in June 2022. In November 2022 the driver door map pocket and driver rear trim panel were repaired, and in December 2022 the blower motor and HVAC control module were replaced. The removed and inoperable Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo is included in the sale.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level with the six-digit odometer shows approximately 70k miles.
The 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. In 2022 the fuel accumulator, fuel tank filter screen, fuel pumps, and fuel filter were replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. In January 2022 the transmission was removed and the rear crankshaft seal plate and the transmission linkage bushings were replaced. Recent work totaling over $4500 includes over including paint touch up, transmission cooler hoses, power steering lines, center drag link, tie rods assemblies, alignment, bushings, and various trim and engine work.
The original purchase invoice, service records, and factory literature are included in the sale. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in North Carolina and Texas.
