This is the second unicorn we’ve captured after a worldwide hunting expedition for a 105. Left-hand-drive, rugged, simple, reliable and equipped with a solid front axle - unique in a 100 Series. The 105 is essentially an 80 series chassis with a 100 series body which makes servicing and upgrading this platform extremely viable in the US. The soul of this 105 Land Cruiser stays true to the original Land Cruisers built in 1951, featuring front and rear solid axles, a manual transmission, and straightforward analog gauges. Under the hood lies arguably Toyota’s most reliable powerplant ever produced; the legendary 1HZ 4.2L inline-six diesel, built to survive a nuclear holocaust.
Looking to make upgrades to your Toyota? Car Cave has a full-service shop ready to handle your build.

Car Cave sourced this 105 out of the Middle East. It is a GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) model manufactured in Japan. The GCC required certain features due to the regional laws and climate conditions, including a mandatory fire extinguisher which is still in the vehicle. A mechanical review was not completed on this vehicle, and it is being sold As-Is. Car Cave recommends a full mechanical review before driving on the street. We have only driven this vehicle around the property and installed a new battery. No other checks or service was completed. The Land Cruiser starts, runs, drives, and stops which is documented in our walk around video.
