Using a DC fast charger is the quickest way to charge your R1T, adding about 140 miles of range in just 20 minutes. The available Rivian Home Charger (installation required) provides about 25 miles of range per hour and can fully charge an R1T equipped with the 135-kWh battery pack in approximately 13 hours. The Rivian Portable Charger can add approximately 16 miles of range per hour when connected to a 240-volt outlet. Charging with a 120-volt (Level 1) outlet yields a meager 3 miles of range per hour and is not recommended.

The interior of the 2024 Rivian R1T impresses with its spaciousness and understated contemporary design. Comfortable seats and innovative cargo-carrying solutions, like the cargo tunnel behind the cab, contribute to its appeal. The R1T also has a front trunk and an in-bed storage area to swallow up a lot of stuff. The four-door Crew Cab seats as many as five, with bucket seats upfront and a three-across rear seat. Front and rear, the seats are well-padded. The only potential issue is rear-seat headroom, which might be slightly lacking for taller adults.
